Annemarie Sprokkereef

Annemarie Sprokkereef is a research fellow on the regulation of biometrics. Her research interests include European governance, electronic justice and privacy. In her current projects she analyses the use of privacy enhancing aspects of new technologies in biometric applications in the public and the private domain.

Martin Ewi

Martin Ewi is a spokesman for the OPCW. The OPCW, (Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons) is the implementing body of the Chemical Weapons Convention (CWC or Convention). The OPCW is given the mandate to achieve the object and purpose of the Convention, to ensure the implementation of its provisions, including those for international verification of compliance with it, and to provide a forum for consultation and cooperation among States Parties. Martin Ewi will elaborate on the topic of the establishment of further measures to achieve the goals set in the Chemical Weapons Convention.

Paul Aarts

Paul Aarts (1949) is a lecturer in International Relations at the Department of Political Science (University of Amsterdam). He is member of the editorial board of ZemZem, a journal on Islam and the Middle East and North Africa. He has undertaken consultancy work on the Middle East for the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the European Commission and other institutions. Aarts regularly contributes to public debates on matters related to the Middle East. He will elaborate on the topic the question of nuclear energy in Iran.

Hester Ebbers

In 1994, Hester Ebbers set up an own company called OPEN for communication. She works as an communication advisor for companies and non-profit organisations. Her expertise lies with change of digital systems. She will elaborate on the topic he protection of children against the dangers of the media such as the Internet.
