About the Lorentz Lyceum

img

The Lorentz Lyceum is an international orientated school where students are stimulated to become world citizens.

The Lorentz Lyceum is named after Hendrik Antoon Lorentz, a famous physicist who won the Nobel Prize in Physics in 1902, for the discovery and explanation of the Zeeman Effect. He was born in Arnhem and he lived there for most of his life, which is the reason why our school is named after him.

The Lorentz Lyceum has three departments started the bilingual programm in 1992, and it was one of the first schools in the Netherlands to work with it. Bilingual students visit foreign countries each year and they receive many unique opportunities throughout their school career such as special projects, cultural programmes, exchange visits and of course MUN conferences! That is why our motto is:

THE WORLD AT YOUR FEET!
